Google’s Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan doodle is best thing you’ll see today

Keeping up its tradition, Google continues to come up with what it calls doodles, the customized logos, for various occasions. The treat for Pakistanis and Indians this time is this Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan doodle put up by both Google Pakistan and Google India to mark 67th birthday of the legendary Qawwali and Sufi singer of the subcontinent.

Here’s the doodle on Google Pakistan page:

The same doodle is also on Google India page:

In the doodle, Ustaad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan can be seen in performing in his peculiar style casting a magic spell like he used to do.

Khan’s voice transcended all boundaries which is why he is equally celebrated across the world, even among the foreigner fans. He had crazy following in India as well where he was equally cherished. His melodies and compositions were used in several Bollywood flicks and continue to mesmerize a truly international audience even today.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan sahib was born 67 years ago today and passed away on August 16, 1997.

Google has truly touched the hearts of millions of NFAK fans in my opinion. Let’s hope Google makes more doodles to celebrate more Pakistani stars and occasions.
