FarhanJanjua.com is an award winning blog and an alternate media platform covering various topics such as digital media, journalism, advocacy, pop culture, media gossip and lifestyle particularly in Pakistan. Founded as Aarpix.com by myself in 2007, FarhanJanjua.com has evolved into a brand familiar in the digital media space of Pakistan and abroad.
FarhanJanjua.com also aggregates and curates content on the internet in order to bridge the gap between the exclusive scoops and the latest happenings. It won the Best News Broken On a Blog Award at Pakistan’s first ever blog awards organized by CIO Pakistan and Google Pakistan in 2010.
I had different names to cover various topics I was interested in and up until recently, Guppu.com remained the prime host of the media gossip blog content whereas FarhanJanjua.com served as my personal website. Over the years I have grown beyond Guppu.com name and realised it’s not me as a full brand anymore. This is because people these days don’t understand the concept that was behind Guppu.com. See when I came up with this name at the time when blogs were only a recent phenomenon in Pakistan and that’s how blogs were named. Who doesn’t remember Gawker for crying out loud? It was also a way to say loaded thing on a lighter note as who would take something written on a blog called Guppu.com seriously, right?
But that became a problem over the years and I announced rebranding a little over 2 years ago. Over this period, my belief that I am no longer defined by this name grew stronger and more people knew me by my name Farhan Janjua than Gupppu.com. I tried to come up with a name to act as a bridge between my personal and business brand names — and I did come up with a few — but ultimately decided to go with one brand people recognise…my own self i.e. Farhan Janjua.

What you read above is not all there is to the Farhan Janjua brand. It’s had a very vibrant business and entrepreneurship side to it. I have kept my entrepreneurial spirit alive and hence my consultancy work and the shop section of this website.
It currently has highly sought-after digital products and services in the offering such as domain registration, website hosting, custom email addresses, VPNs and website encryption and security products.
